Backyard Bushcraft is for the “I don’t have time.” and “I don’t have space.” people who want a solution. With these skills, anyone can practice and start on the path to self reliance, at least in the woods.

On this site, I will blog about topics like: beginner skills, how I build or make certain items (hopefully the correct way) and budget items for those of us who can’t afford all the top line gear.

This method has two benefits. First, every post explains my research and thoughts on the subject, so you can make your own decisions. Second, I show you step-by-step how I am doing a particular skill, construction, or budget item.

I post weekly at midday on Mondays — that gives you the week to plan your bushcraft weekend. Remember, practicing this skill is important. I am looking forward to providing future content and reading your comments. As always, keep those fires burning and put another log on the fire for me.
